Kara A Study on Turkic Directional Symbolism

چکیده
Bütün Türk lehçelerinde bir renk adı olarak geçen kara, herhalde kendisine asıl manası dışında farklı manalar atfedilerek en fazla kullanılan olmuştur. Kara devlet teşkilâtında, adlandırmalarda, yas ifadelerinde, hastalık tanımlamalarında, yön ve coğrafya tasvirlerinde, onursuzluk, utanç itaatsizlik, kötü ruhların ifadesinde, bahtsızlık yoksulluk mânâlarında, düşmanca tutum niyetli davranışların hayvan bitki adlandırmalarında sıkça kullanılmaktadır. Tüm bu kullanım alanları içerisinde kara rengi tarihinde önemli yer teşkil etmektedir. Bu bakımdan Omelyan Pritsaq’ın kaleme aldığı Qara Studie Zur Türkischen Rechtssymbolik başlıklı makalesi renginin tarihi kültüründeki durumunun anlaşılması bakımından oldukça çalışma olduğundan tarafımızca Almancadan Türkçeye çevrilmiştir.
